Here is a photo of the Japanese iris in bloom near the Bird Lover's Suite this year. The bee balm is blooming now and the hummingbirds are loving it. Every year, there is more and more bee balm.

Our cookbook has arrived. The cookbook is hard cover and contains 150 recipes, with many originals including our warm balsamic vinaigrette house dressing, our stuffed beef tenderloin, our award winning stuffed French toast, our award winning pork medallions, turtle cheesecake, fudge truffle cheesecake, chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake, and many more. The cost is $12.95 plus tax for a total of $13.76.

Fish are biting!

Denny caught this nice walleye from the deck last weekend. It's a fat one!

Crappie and bass are biting as well.

New fishing boat coming soon

We have placed an order for a mini pontoon boat that we think will be excellent for fishing. Here is a photo but ours will have swivel seats mounted on the deck.

Effective April 1, 2009, we will start charging a minimal fee for the use of the fishing boat and motor. Canoes are still available at no charge. This should help defray the cost of buying a new battery every two years.

Effective immediately, we will be able to offer weekday special rates (Monday thru Thursday).



One night will be $155.00 plus tax

Two nights will be $269.00 plus tax

Each additional night will be $100.00 plus tax

Add a third night to any weekend for only $100.00 plus tax
